Let me assure you that Statemotor Corporation, under the leadership of Mr. Allen Roxas, has more than enough capital to start with and hires the best people for the respective jobs be it in operations, administration, production, accounting, etc. Statemotor Corporation is a subsidiary of State Properties and State Properties is owned by State Investment Trust Inc. which had been in business since the 1970s.

Teaming up with FMC which had been in the automotive industry since 1947, this venture will go a long way.

Statemotor Corporation is a duly registered Philippine corporation whose primary purpose is:

• To manufacture, buy, import, assemble, sell and distribute automobiles, cars, buses, trucks, and other mechanically propelled vehicles, engines, motor parts, accessories, equipment, devise, gadgets, supplies, tools, tires, lubricants and any and all things of whatever form and kind pertaining to motor vehicles

• To acquire, maintain, or lease assembly plants, service stations, repair shops, storage facilities, and similar structures for the purpose of maintaining, repairing, cleaning, painting, overhauling, body building and offering other services for automobiles, buses, trucks, engines, motor parts, equipment and machineries of all types and descriptions.

The overall objective of Statemotor Corporation is to create and maintain a major presence in the Philippine automotive market through the introduction of a wide variety of high quality automotive products from the largest China automotive manufacturers.

The product lines of State Motors:



The range of products to be offered by Statemotor Corporation will include cars, trucks, buses, and engines for distribution in the Philippine market. At present, the company is negotiating with the following Chinese companies:

• Great Wall Motor Co. Ltd. – Cars, SUVs, Pick up trucks
• Zhong Tong Bus Holding Co. Ltd. – Buses
• Yuchai Machineries Co. Ltd. – Engines
• SAIC GM Wuling Automobile Co. Ltd. – Mini pick up trucks

By identifying these large Chinese manufacturers, Statemotor Corporation expects to create greater attention in the local automotive market and establish itself as a key player offering quality and durability as well as wide range of choices for the local market.


Initially, Statemotor Corporation intends to purchase complete built up (CBU) units from the suppliers in the first year of operations.



Within the first year, an assembly plant for selected models and units will be constructed in a 2.3 hectare property in Balintawak, Quezon City. This will also house the showroom and service center.



In the medium term, a bigger facility will be required in order to accommodate future growth.

Elizabeth H. Lee, president of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI), said that the entry of the Chinese firms into the domestic motor vehicle assembly and parts manufacturing is good news for the local industry largely because it entails the creation of additional job opportunities.

Lee in particular cited the plans of the Chinese motor vehicle assemblers to not just assemble for the local market but also for the exports market and their intention to produce major motor vehicle parts here.

Statemotor will also carry AUVs but not Great Wall. Another brand. I'm not yet in liberty to announce what brand. Maybe in the next few months. Meron nang sample units sa planta.
