To start off, My Nanobox was release in San Fernando Pampanga Jan 25, 2023 with these facts:
    1. 888K less 20K discount = 868K
    2. BPI bank financing is 15K per month for 5 years
    3. Insurance is staggering 30K for 1 year
    4. I paid 20% down + 1 month advance amortization to Dongfeng = 188K
    5. LTO 3 year c/o Dealer
    6. Free floormats, tint and umbrella (10 liters free gas was deleted later on haha)

I started this thread to share my personal experience hoping to add information already available sa Youtube & Google

Dongfeng San Fernando Pampanga 0956 447 9340 (my SA)

Naglagay ako ng charging outlet sa garahe and chose to convert the plug na pang aircon
Charger needs 16A, my wiring setup (breaker, wiring, outlet, plug) is for 20A with power meter

During my first charge pumalo sya ng 13A

    Tnx Sir!

    Same discount lang sa cash

Sabi ng sales people an adapter is needed

Unlike gas cars, I expect consumption for highway driving to be worse for my Nanobox
After a certain speed kasi, air resistance becomes the major load on the motor.

City driving talaga kaya ko sya binili. Napakadalang ko mag long drive

Also yung nakuha ko is "Version 2": 15KWH lang battery pero safer sa sunog na LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) at wala na eco/sport button, nasa baba yung camera, wala na ring trunk cover

same lang sa gas car. driving at 100kph consumes more gas than driving at 60kph. same physics. you're right the vast majority is aerodynamic drag, very small percentage lang yung tire rolling resistance

when i visited the dealer, meron 2 versions. nanobox, and nanobox ex1

btw i'm curious why you picked nanobox over something smaller like wuling mini, or something bigger like byd dolphin?

EX1 is what i refer to "Version 2". Version 1 has the ternary battery = lots of power pero takot ako sa sunog

Driving in Edsa in a gas car has worse fuel efficiency than in NLEX

A gas car has a torque curve and RPM has an influence on fuel efficiency. EVs have max torque at zero RPM

    My order of preference:
    1. Wuling
    2. Ice cream
    3. BYD Seagull
    4. Nanobox

I set a personal deadline of by the end of 2023 , sino mauna dito san Fernando will get my money
"Daig ng maagap ang masipag" haha

Email & text kina Wuling & Ice cream ni hindi man lang ako sagutin. Kung sales palang hindi kana pansin paano pa kaya sa service?

Minor factor na rin involved si Gov. Chavit & BBM sa Dongfeng

Dolphin was never a candidate for me kc di ko masyado type yung external porma plus gimicky sakin yung rotating screen
Ito si Nanobox down to earth ang dating sakin. Use a physical key for Acc, On & Start haha. Physical knobs for aircon

Ikaw sir, are you in the market for a new EV?

May spare tire ba sir?

    1. Wuling Gameboy
    2. Nanobox

Since mas marami ang mga Wuling users, I thought mas magiging easy ang availabilty ng spare parts. Though na prioritize lang si Nanobox due to the presence ng DC fast charging, bigger cargo space sa likod, slightly longer range, better suspension (in my opinion after test drive).

not really in a hurry to buy an EV. just wanna buy one as a toy

nanobox definitely is a candiate for me coz it's more practical than the minis for just a bit more money. however if you just stretch the budget a bit more you could already get a "real" EV in the dolphin. 5-star safety. so you could sell one of your ICE cars and replace it with the dolphin

Wala po spare tire . Medyo hirap ako maghanap ng brand new rim.

The conduit is just the carrier for the actual cable na may sarili insulation. Pansinin nyo yung sa bahay natin. sa loob nung orange conduit are insulated wires, not bare copper.

    Dongfeng explained to me:

Our average house aircon (for a small room) uses about 1KW

My Nanobox battery is 15KWH , meaning it can supply 1KW for 15hours

Ergo, pure traffic using AC in a smaller space than our room should last at least 15 hours

Baka pagdating ng Seagull mas magustuhan mo yun sir, March yata dito and some news articles mention that it will have sodium battery

    i have noticed,
never did i see an EV's range mentioned, with the aircon emphasized as running all the way.

nag message naman si BYD the other day. soft opening daw ng pampanga stealership sa feb

yeah seagull is super interesting. still very small but hopefully will have better ergonomics than nanobox. when i test drove the nanobox there's that very raised ridge all along the edge of the door opening that's digging into my left shoulder. my jimny is already a tiny car but it does have better shoulder room than nanobox

but i dunno if seagull has 5-star safety. if it has more than 2 airbags i think pwede na

btw have you tried driving it inside clark? particularly at the faster roads like along spanglish, ford, etc

    Test charge this morning :
I limited it to 1 hour starting at 42%
It gained 10% using 3KW - hindi tally sa claim nila na 15KWH yung LFP battery ko. This could mean NCM sya and I have no way of proving one or the other

So at 10Pesos per KW, a full charge would cost 300pesos giving 250km range
