ask ko lang kung may problema na ba sa engine or normal lang ang paglabas ng puting usok sa tambutso.... ano kaya ang symptoms nito or yung maaaring maging problema later?: wonder:

Afaik, no problem yung white smoke unless it is dark.

kapag sa cold start at may white smoke nothing to worry, sabi pa nga nila na this is a sign of a very healthy engine pero kapag uminit na makina ay dapat wala ng usok.. at one more thing kapag malamig ang panahon or umuulan normal lang din ang white smoke

Gasoline Engine- White smoke is normal in the morning. Black smoke is abnormal.

Diesel Engine- White smoke is abnormal, early indication for overhauling. Black smoke is normal.

smoke at any other time than a cold start is bad on a gas engine. black, white or blue are all warnings of something wrong.

Mga sir, yung sa akin eh lumalabas eh manipis na bluish smoke pag nirerev ng malaks, pag naka idle wala naman. Sabi nung isang talyer na pinagtanungan ko, idrain ko daw ang gas tank, then pa gas ng bago...Ang kotse ko po ay bigbody gli 93 model. 2 to 3 times a week ko lang po nagagamit car ko for an ave 15km per gamit. Ksi po nagmumutor po ako malimit ngayon dahil sa mahal ng gas eh.

Please advise naman po dun sa bluish na usok pag nirerev, mga spark plug are tuyo, brownish ang sunog.

normally valve seals or piston rings yung cause ng smoke.

try replacing the pcv also.

White smoke on cold start is caused by water that is trapped on the exhaust, that evaporates and being seen as white, vapor type.

White smoke on initial start up (but dissapears when the engine is already at its normal operating temps) = worn out Valve Stem Seals.

White w/ Bluish smoke while driving (specially on load) = Blowby / worn out Piston Rings. (bad Turbo seals.. if the car/truck is turbocharged)

White smoke (more like a smoke machine! lolz!..) while driving = Blown Head Gasket / Cracked Cylinder Head.

Black smoke on initial start up and while driving (on Gasoline engines) = AFR's (Air & Fuel ratio) running too Rich.

Black smoke on initial start up and while driving.. specially if your on the throttle! (on Diesel engines) = somewhat NORMAL! lolz..

and then..

White smoke (more like "steam") from initial start up = is called Water Condensation. normal lang ito.. specially pag may tubig na pumapatak sa labas ng exhaust tip. doon sinasabi na "healthy" ang makina mo.

lolz.. well, walang kinalaman ang gasolina sa problema ng kotse niyo po sir. may blowby na po makina niyo (most likely worn out piston rings). pero check niyo muna ang PCV valve.. baka barado.
