experts, paano ba malalamn kung sira na ang VTEC? thanks
imho, pag sira vtec solenoid mo, di mo mararamdaman ang biglaang acceleration at maririnig yung vtec roar pag lumagpas na sa 4500 rpm.
you should know by driving it. i doubt it is broken though unless a sensor is misreading which might cause it to not engage.
it relies on the speed sensor, vtec solenoid, water temp sensor and oil pressure sensor.
or you can also install a vtec light to determine if and when your vtec kicks in. pwedeng-pwede i-diy.basta basically ang concept niya is whenever the vtec is activated, the light turns on as well
sa akin mga 2800 rpm tsaka nag-ki-kick in ang vtec

Depends on the engine. For DOHC engines, 5.5k rpm yata. According to the gurus at HCP, ~3.5k rpm ang for SOHC 1.6 engines. But for my 97 Accord (F22 SOHC VTEC engine), 2.2k rpm lang, VTEC na. (I have a DIY VTEC LED indicator installed, which lights up when VTEC is engaged).
Hey guys, can you tell me how to find the vtec model? My apologies for my ignorance, but I cant find it eh.
If ever, 96 model na civic, vti. Thanks!
