how far down south are you going?
If first time mo going as far as Quezon or Bicol, ingat sa mga buses and jeeps na nagsasakay at nagbababa sa gitna ng daan. kung kaya ng budget, install a louder horn... sarap siguro magpabusina ng pba or nfl horns...
As of my last trip to Legazpi City, grabe ang daan sa may area ng Lucena and Pagbilao and the worst is Quirino Highway (from Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte to Sipocot, Cam. Sur)
Leave early to avoid much of the traffic... I leave normally at around 4 or 5 am to avoid the traffic build-up in San Pablo City... ay summer na nga pala kaya wala pumapasok sa school... hehehe
na-suggest na lahat ng driving tips ...pero eto ang isang tip na dapat talagang tandaan...
-- BRING EXTRA MONEY --
kahit naka-budget yng lakad mo, always bring an extra money. mahirap minsan maghanap ng ATMs sa mga provinces, tapos pag holy week, karamihan dyan OFFLINE.
yun lng ... hehehe![]()
thanks a lot for the replies. dami na agad.
keep it coming. it's helpful
bring extra belts most especially yun sa fan belt. bring umbrellas. a good book for the misis and tranquilizers for the kids :D para hindi ka antokin sama mo nalang kami :D
bring electrical tape din pala. this will be your best friend for a busted radiator hose .
Most have covered it na ata. Bagong bili your car right? If you haven't yet, try to use your ride and test it some more, and gain confidence in it going for a long drive. If you have a chance to go on some trips in the city using your new ride, test if it has no problems (aircon, temp, electricals, tranny), maybe in some long continuous ride, around an hour or more if kaya. If there are some problems, better you find it now, than be bothered, troubled during the actual trip. Hopefully none naman, since you got a casa maintained ride.
Enjoy the drive, as much as the destination.![]()
BTW don't tinker with your car a day before your trip. as one poster said a week before ok lang. pero yun usual BLOWBAG check you can do it on the day itself. have fun and don't forget, BE A RESPONSIBLE MOTORIST.
Just verify also with the CASA if indeed all the aformentioned services was done by the previous owner of the car (you can never be too safe).![]()
best to have someone to drive as substitute when your a bit tired na...
Bring a pair of working gloves. Your engine and tires will be very hot on long drives. Saka medyo mahirap maghanap ng mahuhugasan ng kamay along the road. Happy driving and a safe trip to all!
Going for a long drive, try to travel in the early morning( madaling araw ) so you have enough time to arrive in your destination on day time. Traveling in afternoon going night to your destination required a lot on aleartness in driving, Pag pagabi na a lot of flying insects will be encountered and land on your windshield and this reduce the visibility of driving.
Bring drinking water on your side while driving, you need it aside from drinking and also when falling asleep, wet your towel and wipe your face.
Have fun, easy driving this holidays. Philippines has a lot of places you can spend on.
Hidden valley and Villa Escudero in the south is a good place to relax and unwind.
check everything, tire, engine, load up with fuel
bring car charger for emergency, map of your going to somewhere new, extra cash
be alert / aware from those coming in. it's much risky when you're on a two-way road than the expressway. there happens the unexpected. kaya nagkaka-gulatan overtake dito-overtake doon lalo yung mga apurado at malalaki. kahit responsible ka yung kasalubong mo marami hindi. be a defensive driver. walang mawawala sa yo. happy driving.
kung may AC ang oto mo e check mo para medyo malamig pag byahe mo... ingat sa byahe ang don't fall asleep while driving...
... and the most important of all, huwag mo kalimutan yung pasalubong mo sa amin![]()
