    several times already,
i saw a PUJ driver have his jeepney's inner tube being patched.
the number of patches already there, was simply... TNTC (too numerous to count).

this is one of the items to be checked for safety inspection. but in the country, vehicles are registered with only the stencil of the chassis number which is irrelevant to the vehicle safety. there is a fake emissions test too. all the pertinent items for registration and motor vehicle safety are ignored. on the other hand, this gives the land transportation commission more leverage for corruption and red tape. the tires should be inspected for age, damage and wear among other things

I agree with you, pero paano pag kabitan lang ng matino na gulong from another vehicle for the inspection, then pagbalik sa garahe, isoli and ikabit lang uli yung luma? Maghihiraman lang sila ng gulong Alam mo naman ang Pinoy, matalino...

One other time, I saw a passenger jeep plying its route with only 3 lug nuts securing one of its wheels...
