Starter Problem

Help please..
my ride (7G galang 1996) have a starter problem.
minsan one click...minsan di agad nagstastart...
sabi ng mechanic...un starter..baka pudpod na un carbon (or to that effect)...pwede daw ito mapalitan...un carbon lang...not the whole starter kung ayos pa...
any idea...kung saan nakakabili nito...at saan pwede paservice..pati na din price...

sir, if you could bring it to a starter technician or your trusted auto mechanic your problem could be solved. i remember back then my dad and i used to D-I-Y yung starter namin sa lumang kotse. but then , pareho pa rin naman ng concept yan.

if you are near marikina area - try REY's electrical (it's on the road that traverse between Sumulong Hiway and Imelda Marcos Hiway na ang kanto ay Sta Lucia Mall ang labas. It is about 500m before Sta Lucia Mall on the right side of the road coming from Marikina Town proper.

Try also Speedyfix (one of the forumers dito yung owner), baka kaya nila. Else any nearby electrical shop that do alternator and starter can do that. The brush is usually available on any autosupply store.
