If your engine is unmodified, stick to what your car manual recommends. Usually NGK or Denso.
cold plugs are typically used when the engine is a high reving turbo charged engine.Originally Posted by kenet_3

for the 323... the manual states that you can either use a cold or hot sparkplug.
and kapag nag foul-up ang cold plugs, talagang ramdam mo.
Cold plugs help in curing knock in advanced timing but it's not a necessary item.
What fuel do you use? If you advance your timing its adviced to use high octane like Petron Blaze or Velocity... or your timing is just way too advanced.
Check what your stock plug is and get the next heat range... for example if you're using an NGK BKR5E, switch to BKR6E.
mag Bosch Platinum ka na lang. Yun orig ha. may 4 tip platinum na dito pero medyo mahal.
me, i'm using denso iridiums. but my engine is turboed. so best stick to OEM spec.
The BKR7E's are very hard to find... What's your car if i may ask? On some Jap cars, the Bosch plugs dont work toowell...
bkr6e is already a cold spark plug... brk5e ang hot.Originally Posted by kenet_3
try hrc. for some cars that come equipped with a 6 heat range plug from the factory, di pa cold plug yung 6.
may isa pa pala akong prob. kasi sabi nyo dito, colder pag tumataas ang number, meaning it can dissipate heat faster and remain colder. sa NGK lang ba nag-aapply yung ganung convention, kasi sa bosch nabasa ko lower higher number means hotter plug.
tnx ulit
depends on the plug maker. ngk and denso share the rating (higher is colder), pero densos heat range 6 is number 16 or 20 ata. basta check the manufacturers website for info on how they rate their plugs.
tnx sir speedyfix ;)
another question sir, will you recommend bosch sparkplugs vs ngk?
