November 15th, 2005 03:05 AM #1i have a corolla XL 2002. ang problem niya is there are times na during sa pag-release ng clutch at first gear, nanginginig. it's not the usual nginig na kulang sa tapak sa gas. in fact, pag-tinapakan ang gas, it shudders violently. a friend of mine with a corolla GLi naman, ganun din. the problem is intermittent. pag sinusumpong, ang hirap timplahin ng clutch- sobra ang nginig. any idea what causes this?

Kung yan nga problema, afaik palit ng clutch ang solusyon diyan, or (not really recommended) sunog ng konti sa clutch.

baka sira na ang pressure plate ...
lagi bang overloaded yng corolla mo (4 or 5 passengers or equivalent baggage load) ??
try this to test ur pressure plate...
- park ur car (with at least 5 meters distance sa harap)
- secure the hand brake (yng highest na kaya mo)
- start the engine & lagay mo sa 5th gear
- slowly release the clutch and your right foor naman sa gas (para hindi mamatay ang engine). keep the rpm between 1,000 to 1,500. do this only for a maximum of 30 secs!
kng nag shake kagaya ng sinabi mo -- pressure plate yan
kng parang umakyat naman yng rpm kahit halos released ka na sa clutch -- may clutch slippage ka na, it is time to replace ur clutch

wag mo lng gawing 'frequent' yng testing, or else u will do more damage sa clutch mo.
of course, wag mo gagawin yang flyover test pag ma-traffic, bka puro ingay ng busina marinig mo ...
o kaya marinig mo naman yng famous "Filipino Greeting" galing sa ibang drivers ... hehehe
Kami dati naglalagay ng chain lock ng motor or bike. Iba nakita ko literal na kadena at padlock.
