The Goodyears are notorious for being noisy. A friend of mine, when he got his Lynx, had them immediately replaced with Dunlop LM702s, and the noise was significantly reduced. Around P1,400 lang ang nagastos nya after trade-in. Ganda pa kapit.

    dragonheart,

binili ko yung acoustifoam sa true value town center. 1.8 x 1 m, around P600. Sympre ako na rin ang nag-install.. inabot ako limang oras. medyo mabusisi, kasi i had to remove the seats and the carpet. tapos linis muna bago kabit. post sana ako ng pics kaya lang kakahiya, amateur na amateur ang itsura. pero ok na rin. susunod kong lalagyan yung trunk. parang kasing mas dominant na yung ingay na nanggagaling dun eh (feeling ko lang ha)..

    boybitz,

    Juno,

Yes, i can say quite significant.. ramdam ko talaga mas smooth feeling ng ride.. although im not sure how much ang nacontribute ng acoustifoam. Kasi i also applied a flashband like product sa doors.. parang thin foam sya na dinidikit na lang din na parang flashband (mas magaan pa). gumanda nga yung tunog ng speakers ko eh, mas naging bassy.. experiment lang (mukang okay naman).. halo halo na nga ginamit ko eh..
acoustifoam sa floor, flashband sa likod, then yung thin foam sa doors..
i plan to apply acoustifoam na rin sa trunk para masagad na..

cliff, hehehehe i knew it would put a smile in your face. i also did put lots of acoustifoam in my trunk flooring and it also made a good insulation as well. i also plan to put some more inside the wheel wells kaya lang la pa ko time. i also put a 5mm layer of acoustifoam in between the roof and the ceiling??? (di naman sidings un di ba) and it significantly lessened the heat i feel especially when driving in the mid afternoons. dati kasi pag nag park ka sa tanghali, kahit bukas na aircon eh ramdam pa din yung heat from the roof. ngayon wala na. heheheh

    happy new year pipol!!

Just finished installing acoustifoam on my cars trunk.. tama ka sir juno, laki ng nabawas sa road noise coming from the back. meron palang acoustifoam na may adhesive na, yung wala ng kasamang dalawang latang rugby (mas mahal nga lang ng 100). pero less hassle tsaka mas malinis ang trabaho.. again, problem ko na lang ngayon ay mas nagiging noticable na yung little katoks coming from the dashboard dahil tahimik na nga yung ride (siguro mga maluwag na connections lang)..

meleagant8, depende siguro kung how often you use your car and how you drive it, on my experience kasi, mga 3 years ang tinagal ng tires ko dati.

uy cliffjumper, naka sounds set up ka na ba?dapat ba naka sounds set up bago maglagay ng mga acoustiofoam?

ubod ng ingay ang NCT3... as in sobra... para kang naka tube na gulong na malaki... bad trip...

change your tires... also, while waiting for your current set to wear out... always check the tire pressure... laking ingay kung mali pressure mo.

don't know why local goodyears suck so much...
