Bay drey if you install smaller carb jets you would lean the a/f ratio. And if not done properly as in not installing the right jets (ex. smaller jets like 106-primary 90-secondary) your acceleration would suffer and top end power would decrease. but you would save fuel. The secret there is balance, but i can't explain in details 'cuz there are lots of factor to consider like condition of your engine, modification done to it, fuel used, spark plug-IC-condenser capacitor-distributor, Oil use if its thick or thin, condition of the power train as in tranny, diffs, axle, wheels, and tires(tire pressure). and the 5k engine by the way is a very durable engine for it uses chains instead of belts. One thing you notice by the way if your car is fuel efficient is there are some water droplet that spews out your exhaust just as i have experience with mine.
