I don't know what you call that adhesive. I just call it 'gummy'.
But you don't really have to use that. For restorations, we just use whatever we can get our hands on. Even those 'liquid gasket' originally intended for engine rebuilding. As long as it will bond to the plastic and to the metal.

you can use dow corning "silastic" silicone sealant for that. 100 pesos isang tube but the gun costs around 400. if you don't want to buy a sealant gun then you can just push the bottom with a piece of wood. or buy the sealant in the "toothpaste" tube, mas mahal lang nga.
Bakit yun ang gamit nila? nde ba pwede ibang sticky compound? hehe hirap tangalin. badtrip.
Yun ang ginagamit because it can be reattached afterwards and is temperature stable. Perfect for other markets na malaki ang temperature changes (e.g. Middle East).
