Blinking front wheels: means that the 4wd is not completely disengaging. Usually a vacuum or solenoid problem (do a search here, na-discuss na ito). In the meantime, just put in in 4H so it won't tire itself trying to disengage. In this mode, you have a 4wd system similar to the new Suzuki Vitara, most Land Rovers, RAV4, etc.

The rear wheel icons never blink, they only turn off when you put the transfer gear lever into NEUTRAL

The center orange square is the center diff lock. Used for off-road conditons only. Engaged by shifting into 4Hlc and 4Llc.

The only time it should blink is when changing from one drive mode to another. And even that is only momentary (less than 30 secs). If it blinks continously, it doesn't matter if it's fast or slow, you have to troubleshoot the sytem.

    2H-rear wheel drive
4H-all wheel drive (can be used on paved roads)
4Hlc-four wheel drive center diff locked (off-road use only)
N-neutral (for use if you have the OEM winch - not offered locally)
4Llc-four wheel drive center diff locked low range (off-road use only when you need double the torque but half the speed)

You can shift from 2H to 4H at speeds up to 100kph
You need to be stationary to shift into 4Hlc or 4Llc.

^ thanks for the instruction on how to use.

Btw, it blinks continuously. normal blink intervals and fast ones (i think the problems is electrical or sensor)... any diy to troubleshoot it? or a shop knows how to fix this problem?

Look for the Joseph Atotubo thread. He knows how to fix these things. On my rig, I just left it in 4H for a month. When I went back to 2H, the blinking nightmares were over.

I'll look for that thread. btw, could the flood water damage sensor or something? just drove it this afternoon and no blinking of whatsoever...

btw, i already tried putting it in 4wd mode still blinking...

yung 4wd system ba ng pajero mechanical ang co-control? meaning kahit sira yung mga sensor eh gagana parin yun 4wd yun nga lang hindi mo mlalaman? kung sira sensor pano malalaman kung naka 4wd aside from the t/f lever? thanks! big help.

    It's a vacuum operated system.

If anything fails in the system, it will default back into 4wd because it has a failsafe built in (e.g. if the sytem fails off-road). I guess all those years in Dakar does pay off.

The other way to know if power is being sent to the front is by lifting all four wheels.

'Di na siguro ako mag-oopen ng bagong topic. Join na lang ako...

Question po: Is there any store na nagbebenta ng sticker or bagong handle for the transfer lever? Wala na kasi 'yung nakadikit sa paj na dala ko and I'm new to 4wd vehicles so clueless ako kung ano gagawin.

Also, since wala 'yung diagram sa lever, I'm guessing. I have the lever set to the lowest dahil 'yun lang 'yung malakas 'yung hatak and the only light i'm seeing is the c/d lock which is blinking erratically. should i be worried? I'm planning to see mr a22bo if needed, just give me the go signal.

I hope hindi magulo 'yung explanation ko. Anyway, I can further elaborate this if needed.

    Thanks in advance!

I've tried hunting for a pic of the lever. itong attached pic ba 'yung itsura non?
