    hello!

    i've decided na to have my litace's 2c-t engine opened in order to removed the rust and sludge bulidup that the flush could not flush at all....and i decided also to have it ported and polished....

    my question is, is it true that i'll gain somehow improvement on my engine? pwede paki list naman dis/advantages ng port and polish?

    and my second query kung palitan ko ng oversize ung piston rings ko, anu pala dis/advantage ko..kung may increase sa power how much?fuel consumption will increase, pero up to where?

    kasi para isang gawaan nalang...

    a ported head will not lead to any increases if you don't increase fuel. remember hp = fuel + air + spark. porting (if done well) will just add air.

    oversized piston rings are used normally kapag may kain na yung bore ng cylinder. if wala try to use oem.

    thanks po...so palinis ko nalang po ung makina ko..pa-port and polish ko nalang din kung di naman ganun kalaki ang additional cost...

    e yung ported cylinder anu po effect? thanks po sir speedy! so para lang pala ako nagtapon ng pera kung pa-oversize rings ko pa makina ko...

    all it needs lang talaga is some massive cleaning inside...palit na din pala ko ng gaskets kung ganun...

    palitan ko nalang pala ng makina kung sira na talaga...

    sa akin lang, kung di marunong at siguradong magaling mag port yung gagawa, wag mo na ipagawa.

    take note of that too.. makikita naman po diba pag nabuksan na kung kailangan o hindi...

    thanx po ulit...

    tiwala na din ako sa machine shop na suki namin,e.. napagawa na kasi dun ung 3a-u ng owner pati ung cylinder head ng 4d30 namin... tsaka own mechanic namin ung magbubukas kaya masusubay-bayan ko din here at home...

    ok. pero take not that opening and porting an engine are totally different things. kung wala sila concept ng pagport,keep it stock nalang.

    there are lots of those backyard shops that claim to do P&P for only a small fee... ingat na lang.

    thanks din...take note of those too...usually po magkano ang p&p sa reputable shop?estimate lang po...kasi ung 3a-u namin, it costs us 25 thousand (p&p block and head, plus resurfacing ng bore-->pinasok ng gasolina from the fuel pump kaya nadisplace ung oil, kinain pa ng piston ung bore)

    ganito pala kung ang sasakyang di sanay i-maintain bago mo mabili, tapos, nung nagpalit-palit ako ng fluids, ayun, naglabasan ang kanyang mga hinanakit sa dating owner!

    now i know it the hard way! di pala guarantee na maganda ang takbo, pero less maintenance!
