April 13th, 2005 06:21 AM #1for those with carb engines,
do u notice n parang me mini gas tank in/or beside the carb? yng s kia pride kasi parang one side nya e glass so kita mo kung me laman.
my question is dapat be laman tong gas? if yes how many?
pansin ko kasi pag gabi, when i shut off my engine me laman sya. when i wake up in the morning parang wala na.
i have just changed my battery and recently had my carbs cleaned.
thanks for your inputs

Kaya maski off ang engine, pag hinila mo yung accelerator cable, may lumalabas parin.
Pwede rin may tulo carburador kaya lagi walang gas hehehheLast edited by Mojo; April 14th, 2005 at 10:10 AM.

in fuel injected cars you regulate the airflow while the computer supplies the needed fuel. mukhang ang "lunod" ay a term of the past for this new generation cars.

the float sees to it that the bowl is filled with just the right amount of fuel supplied from the fuel line. In some cars may dot/level sa window for you to know if there is overfilling. A stucked float (open) would flood your carb too. Pumping the gas pedal excessively would also flood it as the excess fuel would flow directly down the intake of the carb.

April 19th, 2005 08:57 AM #10i had a similar symtoms before from our old ride. pag matagal naka park, ang hirap pag istartin nung engine especially sa umaga after an overnight parking. ganun din nangyayari dun sa carb... parang natutuyuan dun sa reservoir nya. pero once na nakatakbo na at pinatay mo yung makina, once click lang start na. wag lang talagang maipark ng more than 6 hours at mahirap na ulit pa-istartin.
you mentioned that you recently had your carb overhauled. better bring your car back to the shop, and advise them of your problem. have the carb re-inspected, yung sa akin ang naging problem eh yung rubber dun sa plunger. matigas na. then, you float, sira na din yung isa sa pinagkakabitan nya sa base so di pantay yung float.
