    One answer, tuffet adjustments.

    Valve seats not properly seated can and could cause to make some knocking sound. Valve clearance needs re-adjustment after some period.

    When i experience detonation, is usually check the following:
    - fuel (switch to higher octane or another brand)
    - ignition timing (check and retard by around 2deg)
    - spark plugs (switch to one heat range colder)

    These are the usual culprits that can be singled out first before going on to other possibilities.
