Good or Bad for the car? How often should this be done? Is this for european cars only? Any recommendations?

The consensus is that this helps clear the engine of carbon build-up, especially if you udont drive out of Metro Manila.

The reason why it's called the Italian Tune-up was because old Italian cars (i.e. old Ferraris) needed to be revved high to prevent the plugs from fouling up amongst some.
