    Hi.

I sent my mechanic yesterday to go to Manila (Alonzo St.) to buy some tools. He returned and told me that the the whole list would cost more than 30T Php.

    Here's the list:

    1. CROCODILE JACK (5T)

    2. ANGLE GRINDER (MAKITA) & IMPACT ELECTRIC DRILL (MAKITA)

    3. SOCKET WRENCH SET (10-12 MM) U.S. OR GERMAN

    4. DEEP SOCKET WRENCH (12-30 MM) U.S. OR GERMAN

    5. STEEL STAND (1 SET) 4 PCS.

    6. CROSS WRENCH H.D.

    7. HAMMER BALL H.D.

    8. PHILLIP SCREW SET & FLAT

    9. COMBINATION BACK WRENCH H.D. (10-24 MM) U.S. OR GERMAN

    10. PLIER & LONG NOSE

    11. CHISEL (SINSIL) H.D.

    12. VALVE LIFTER

    13. PISTON RING GRIPPER

    14. TORQUE WRENCH

    15. PULLER GRIPPER

    16. TIMING LIGHT (FOR ENGINE)

    17. VISE GRIP (U.S. OR GERMAN)

    18. GATO MEDIUM

    19. ALLEN WRENCH (1 SET) U.S. OR GERMAN

    Thanks in advance.

If you want to see comparable prices here in the US (you mentioned US brands) go to Harbor Freight tools website. Great resource of tools.

Piston ring gripper, timing light, torque wrench, floor jack and others can be expensive, yes. The good jacks here in the US are around $80+ so 5000 is just right for a really good one.

Suggest you check Japanese tool brands like KTC, Tone, Koken. Different price ranges with KTC having the best reputation for quality.
Check with New Triumph hardware on CM Recto, Sta Cruz.

    2. ANGLE GRINDER (MAKITA) & IMPACT ELECTRIC DRILL (MAKITA) - each will be around P5,000 so total of P10,000

    3. SOCKET WRENCH SET (10-12 MM) U.S. OR GERMAN - each is about P300 so total of P900

    4. DEEP SOCKET WRENCH (12-30 MM) U.S. OR GERMAN - each is price between P300 to P700, mahal yung malalaki na 300mm and consider the arm ng socket wrench that is another P1,000, so for this group I estimate about P3,000 to P5,000

    5. STEEL STAND (1 SET) 4 PCS. - about P300 to 600 each depending on height mas mahal yung mataas na about 12" yung body, so total of about P1,200 to 1,600

    6. CROSS WRENCH H.D. - about P200-500

    7. HAMMER BALL H.D. - depending on size average cost is P400

    8. PHILLIP SCREW SET & FLAT - each is about P100 so depende kung gaano kadami ang bibilhin mo

    9. COMBINATION BACK WRENCH H.D. (10-24 MM) U.S. OR GERMAN - a good brand is about P1,000-1,500, bihira nga pala yung set na merun aabot ng 24mm

    10. PLIER & LONG NOSE - about P300 to 500 each depending on size

    11. CHISEL (SINSIL) H.D. - a good one na hindi basta-basta pupurol ay abou P200 to P400

    12. VALVE LIFTER - i haven't bought one like this pero probably between P500-P2,000 eto

    13. PISTON RING GRIPPER - i think a generic one is about less than P500

    14. TORQUE WRENCH - analogue is about P1,300, a "high-tech" is nearly P4,000

    15. PULLER GRIPPER - depending on size, P300 to 800 ang range, generic brands

    16. TIMING LIGHT (FOR ENGINE) - depending on brand and pa-ek-ek it is between P2,000 to 10,000 - craftman yata yung brand na maganda

    17. VISE GRIP (U.S. OR GERMAN) - depending on size and tip/nose design, it is about P200-P500

    18. GATO MEDIUM - china about P2,000, other better brands about P3,000

    19. ALLEN WRENCH (1 SET) U.S. OR GERMAN - metric o english?, about P1,000 yung good brands

    20. SPRAY GUN - HVLP type (high volume, low pressure) is the best, small ones P800-1,000 bigger volume capacity can reach P15,000-20,000. HVLP type is a prefered type for environment issue (lesser misting that just pollute the environment) and tipid sa paint and pede ito kahit small (like 1/4-1/2HP) lang ang compressor. A compressor is about P5,000 to 7,000 na ang china na 1/2HP, other implements like pressure hose, water separator and pressure regulator is about P3,000 to P5,000

    21. TOOL BOX - plastic is P150-P1,000 depeding on size, metal is P500-P2,000

Is the price just about right? I hope someone can give me an estimate.
    IMO
so at P30,000 that is very cheap! my estimate is that all these will cost you nearly a P100,000 if you really want good brands that can last you a lifetime.

if you go mostly china or lesser known brands, probably near P50,000 pa rin yan.

Sa crocodile jack 5tons i presume, that is kinda heavy. Ff you want quality that would last Masada is good. MACHINEBANKS 7113751 look for Arianne.

Allen wrenches have different variation may tx-starbit, ribe, spline and the common hex. Sa Panda (7168361,7168362 Mr.Sy) they have a set that is just great. They have in stock just everything that a mechanic would need at a good price from the U.S, Japan, China. 340B Araneta ave QC.

Sa valve spring compressor i suggest you buy the non clamp so you can use it while the head is still bolted.

All the rest of your needs are available there, even vacuum and compression gauges and SS tools. Ang sarap tumingin. They have nice looking tool boxes and drawers that is just priced right.

    Goodluck bro.
