Mga sirs. Need your advise and inputs.
Car is a gen1 CRV. Whenever i make a full turn (either to the right or left), there's this "GRRRRRR" sound from under and parang may vibration. Well, this happens only on full turn. Pag balik ng steering wheel to straight position, nawawala. So this is what we did. Baklas ng buong propeller shaft. Checked the crossjoints and may konting alog pero hindi naman grabe. We tried doing a test drive without the propeller shaft and nawala yung GRRRRR sound and vibration. Pagbalik ng propeller shaft, balik din ang GRRRR sound and vibration. Could it be the crossjoints? -- just want to be sure before replacing. Or is it the differential? Or is it the 4WD engaging during full turns? Or what is it kaya? Help naman mga gurus or any other Gen1 CRV owners who have experienced this and had fixed the problem.
    TIA.

replace the differential fluid sa likod. sure tangal yung tunog nyan. use high quality atf for that. either redline or motul should do the trick.

Where is the noise coming from?

Front-power steering component(i.e. check fluid, pump, rack and pinion)
    rear- differential.

ronald_m my question is, do you know anything about crv's? the 1st gen in particular?

my guess is hindi kasi if you checked the differential housing on it you would see a big sign (put there by honda) that you should only use atf in the rear differential.

this is not a difference in standards na... we're just talking about putting the correct fluid.

isip isip sana muna bago ka magpost

buti nalang pala nasabi ko sayo or else you would have put the wrong fluid in the car and masira mo pa.

yan ang mahirap... all you do is post and post and don't think that someone may actually think you know what you're saying and follow your advice. if they did you would probably ruin the car even more. geezzz....

mazdamazda yeah, pwede every 40-60k kms palitan yun

Sir Speedy i have the same problem. I already changed my diff fATF luid but ganon parin if i make a U-turn. meron parin sound. Could it be that i used the wrong fluid.? Sabi kasi sa manual use only honda fluid while gamit ko yung castrol atf. Meron ba diff nito or marketing lang ng honda?

i experienced that in my gen1. i read around at hondasuv the culprit is the old Rear differential oil. you need to change it using Honda ATF.

True enough when i changed mine nawala yung squeaking grinding sound on full turns. the explaination offered by hondasuv pag nakafullturn ka kase unequal yung spin ng front right and left tire which activates the Real time 4wd at the rear. when the rear is activated but the fluid inside it isn't up to the task that's when you hear the annoying squeak.

sa manual ng cr-v don't use gear oil. it says there use Honda Rear diff fluid or Honda ATF.

may sticker pa yan sa rear differential mismo:

(sorry for the poor pic quality)

Yun rin pala siguro problema ng Gen1 namin dati. Si Honda (casa) naman, hindi nagsasabi na kailangan palitan na ng differential fluid noon.

kaya siguro ng shops sa baguio yan... it's just atf naman and a simple drain refill.

Ok thanks sir speedyfix. Thanks again.
