im a noob concerning cars. ask ko lang kung anu mgandang option para lumakas yung 3s-fe engine ko. kasi nahihinaan me tlaga sa kanya.
any ideas will be apreciated mgkatsikot! tnx!

The "fe" designation on a Toyota engine usually means that it's the non-performance version for that particular engine series.

If you really want lots of power, swap it for a better engine.

If you'll settle for just a bit more, you can do breathing modifications to it, but those can only go so far... and it'll be loud, to boot.

Swap with a 3SGTE...

Otherwise... not really much. Just an air filter, headers, midpipe, muffler... If you buy the cheap stuff, all of that together might be worth 3-8 hp, if you buy the expensive stuff, maybe around 10-15 hp.

1. I don't know. Probably between 40 - 60 thousand. Don't know how much the swap and wiring will cost. I've seen it done, though.

Depends on your budget. Many people swear by fremuff (along Sergio Osmena Highway, Makati). Mufflerland can do high quality work, too (T.Morato, Quezon City).

Both Brodeth and eRL can do custom headers of high quality, but you've got to be willing to spend 15-20k pesos.

Other engine mods... you'll have to ask around at places like grupotoyota... I'm not familiar with the 3SFE engine.
