    proper cylinder head bolts tightening sequence for a 4 cylinder engine is...

    torque first to 10% of required torque in sequence 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 then torque it to the final torque, also in the same sequence. do the final torquing twice. so if you will notice parang pa-ikot ang bolt tightening sequence starting from the middle then going out. the reason why the center bolts are torqued first is to spread out the head. if you start from one side then the head will tend to twist.

    pwede din yung sabi ni afrasay na unti-unti ang torque setting. so instead na 10%-100%-100% you can do it in several steps like 10%-30%-50%-100%-100% of bolt torque. just make sure you do the 100% twice.
