pasensiya. newbie
guys ask ko lang. i often see sa thread that the idle rpm should be a notch below 1k rpm, tapos to upshift to the higher gear nasa around 2k rpm. pero parang di ko pa nakita yung ideal rpm at which you just stay on the gear (or downshift for that matter).
for instance, i am at 4th gear and i don't want to switch to 5th gear or go lower at 3rd gear. anong rpm dapat ang i-maintain ko? how about going to a lower gear? thanks.

Basic rule, go as high of a gear as possible, as soon as possible (kaya ng engine, so speed and slope dependent)...

isn't 2k - 2.5k rpm the time i shift to a higher gear (to save gas according to the threads i've read)? what if i just wanted to stay on a particular gear? 1.5k?

depende nga yan sa speed and traffic, naturally kung paahon yan di logical mag stay ng below 2K rpm, kung nasa hway ka at nasa right lane ka and you want to cruise at 80kph or so then malamang nasa 4th or 5th gear ka under 2K RPM depende sa makina...
Kung nasa stop and go ka, di din applicable yan.
Just drive dude, don't worry about it.

2000rpm...OK na... pero kung cruising mas OK kung 2000rpm * 5th gear. mas economical.

Yun car ko may km/L na guage and i see na kapag nasa 2k rpm yun km/L eh nasa 13, kapag 2500 na yun rpm nasa 10 na lang yun km/L.
