Crack sa Windshield: San pwede pa repair?

sa ziebart south super highway. ask the guards for novus. they repair cracks, scratches etc.

Luma na ang tempered glass, karamihan ng new genre puro laminated na. Laminated windshields can be repaired but not long enough for the duration of the vehicle, sooner or later another crack will just pop it off. Wala na kasi ang full integrity ng windshield once it has crack on it. I should know, sa 3 sasakyan na nadala ko puro nag-crack lahat after having it repaired.

pangit ang tempered. pagnatamaan ng bato, ubos ang windshield mo. kapag laminated, mag crack lang sya and pwede ka pang makapunta sa paroroonan mo or makakauwi ka pa with the windshield still attached and with clear view of the road.

but tempered glass was designed to shatter because of one reason: SAFETY. your safety! if your head goes through laminated glass during a collision the glass can cut your neck and arteries. with tempered glass, it disintegrates into small "corn kernel" size pieces so the likelihood of you cutting off your neck on the glass is eliminated.

pero bakit ginagawang standard na ang laminated glass sa mga front windshields?

just did a research, yep you're right boybi! laminated is back for one reason, the plastic film they use now is stronger and it will in fact prevent you from flying out through the windshield. outdated na pala ang alam ko ehehehe! :embarass:

try novus. it was on cats edsa before. had our pajero's windshield repaired there. they will drill a small hole near the crack and fill it up with reinforcing material. kita pa rin ang crack, pero arrested na yung paghaba ng crack. our windshield crack was done in year 2000 and up to now, di na sya humaba. they told us to keep the receipt coz lifetime daw yung warranty nila dun sa repaired crack.

merong novus at ziebart makati, it's on osmena highway, sa ilalim ng buendia overpass before the skyway entrance ramp. meron ding windshield scratch removal.

does anyone know if novus is still operating at ziebart, osmena hiway? can't find their number in the yellow pages and on the net.
