Toyota Coolant on a Honda Car?

mga sir's, i heard na pinaka ok daw na coolant ay yung Toyota Red Coolant, ok lang ba yun gamitin sa Honda Civic (1994)? if not, may mga masusuggest ba kayo na magandang coolant for this car? thanks!

read mo manual and check ang toyota coolant kung pereho lang. pwede yon. color i guess ibaiba lang depende sa manufacturer.

Kung pareho lang ang ingredients ng both coolants, I think wala namang problema yun.

Yung Toyota coolant and oil is made by Caltex. Dapat Shell kaya lang ayaw mag repack ng shell kaya napunta sa Caltex. Ayun tinanggal din ng Toyota Shell as their fuel sa plant. Ako I use shell glycol kasi gusto ko yung kulay blue na coolant. Prestone kadiri.

Not all coolants are the same!

If your honda uses extended-life (5 year) coolant you can probably use the new toyota pink coolant.

If the honda uses conventional (2 year) coolant then you can probaly use the toyota red coolant.

AFAIK the toyota and honda coolants are quite similar in formula

kami kahit anong coolant din....pagminsan nga eh yung kulay na lang ang napapagtripan eh...herehrehrher

but mostly caltex at shell din lang yung for 2yrs para ma-tsek or malinis tuloy yung radiator once in a while.....unless napagawi sa mga car accessories stores dun lang nakakatikim ng special na coolant yung rides namin.....

The prestone long-life (not super long life) label says "low silicate" which indicates that it contains silicates, which are abrasive.

Japanese automakers specify NO SILICATE coolant. There's probably a good reason why.

masyado mahal yung coolant ng honda. 250/L yung premixed na. Yung concentrate nila dati nasa 700+ isang bottle.

I think yung caltex long life silicate free formula na yun. check out the texaco website. Yun gamit ko sa cr-v ngayon so far ok naman

yung sa caltex, 1L Concentrated: Php 310.. kahapon lang ako bumili e.. haay,, buti naman at tama yung decision ko..
