Not all coolants are the same!

If your honda uses extended-life (5 year) coolant you can probably use the new toyota pink coolant.

If the honda uses conventional (2 year) coolant then you can probaly use the toyota red coolant.

AFAIK the toyota and honda coolants are quite similar in formula

nyek din....me ome din ba na coolant or me specific coolant din ba for a certain brand of car??

Yung prestone i think may silicates pa rin yun.

Silicates are harmful to Honda waterpump seals

The prestone long-life (not super long life) label says "low silicate" which indicates that it contains silicates, which are abrasive.

Japanese automakers specify NO SILICATE coolant. There's probably a good reason why.

    wrcastro_ph,
masyado mahal yung coolant ng honda. 250/L yung premixed na. Yung concentrate nila dati nasa 700+ isang bottle.

I think yung caltex long life silicate free formula na yun. check out the texaco website. Yun gamit ko sa cr-v ngayon so far ok naman

Premium performance, environmentally sensitive coolant, anti-freeze and corrosion inhibitor, based on extended-life organic acid Carboxylate Technology in ethylene glycol which, when mixed at 50% by volume with water, provides long-term protection of the cooling systems of gasoline and light and heavy-duty diesel engines. Meets the phosphate-free requirements of European manufacturers and the silicate-free requirements of Japanese manufacturers.
