November 3rd, 2003 12:48 AM #1bros... just a few questions regarding problem with my car alarm:
can't activate the car alarm
1. which do you think is the problem?
a. remote key - note: batteries replaced with new one already
b. car alarm (main unit)
2. is there away to activate manually the car alarm main unit?
- to know if it is busted or not, thus, remote key is the problem.
3. pwede bang ipagawa ang remote key, or disposable lang ito?
- can i just bring it to any electronics technician?
the brand of my car alarm is viper (don't know w/c model though)
thanks for reading (hopefully - replying also!) my post.

1. Which do you think is the problem?
Any of the two may be the problem. A defective remote or main unit. The main unit may be covered "too much" preventing recetion of signal from remote or wrong installation.
2. Is there away to activate manually the car alarm main unit?
This feature depends on the model and unit if the unit has this feature.
3. Pwede bang ipagawa ang remote key, or disposable lang ito?
There are some brands which have very good aftersales service that they can repair even the remote. For some ay patapon na ito. Try asking your vendor if they can repair the unitor sell replacement parts.

Banawe stores can easily fix those malfunctioning remote alarms. Just bring it back where you bought it or any shop will do for a charge ofcourse.
You could also ask them to reprogram another duplicate remote for your alarm kit, for backup just incase.Last edited by Ungas; November 3rd, 2003 at 08:22 AM.

Dyan ka mag ingat sa mga reprogrammers na yan , they have access codes of ur security device that will make it vulnerable for them to jack ur car if they want to .
Viper alarms are good n reliable alarms , one of the good ones in the market right now . EIther u tripped some wires , wrong installation or nag short ito . Make use of ur warranty if meron ka pa or just get a new one .
