    After a year in our fleet, my dad decided to sell the car (as private). His reason, the alignment was so off yung isang gulong ang bilis mapudpod.

    IMO, having the car repaired depends on the damage and perceived value of the car.
    Palagay ko may hidden structural damage na yung kotse.

    Yung inayos nung casa bodywork lang. Kumbaga sa tao, nagpa facelift,bustlift, botox etc. to look younger, but underneath all that, yung biological age remains the same.

    I'm sure kahit anong gawin ng casa. di naman talaga mababalik sa "good as new" state yung sasakyan.

    same with our family, aside from the hassle and like mentioned, it's not the same anymore, parang malas na. My brother is accident prone and has been in countless car accidents, may sa pusa nga daw. LOL! My Dad used to get mad over my brother's car mishaps pero pag tagal hindi na because he told me he doesn't want to stress over it anymore, kapag major accident benta na lang

    option ko rin po ang roof cut. pero considering baguio pa po ang location ko ung pag ship ng roofcut e mahirap. and tataas daw po ng 55k ang labor if roof cut ang ggwin

    nakabili nko ng surplus backglass all orignal *2k, driver side tail light, antenna
    ung headliner sabi may yupi na daw kaso mukhang sasadyain ko nalang sa manila ang headliner kasi pwedeng mayupi ito during shipping. tumatannggi mga nakausap ko na seller..

    nabagsakan po yan ng pine tree, buti nalang po hindi nasandwhich totally, ung branch lang po ang tumama, if hindi nakatali ung puno possible sandwhich po ang sasakyan.

    as sa insurance naman po, 3 years na po ung last comprehensive insurance ng sasakyan hindi nko nakapag compre. insurance kasi medyo mabigat po.

    ung repair na gagawin po nila is unat unatin po nila, ung mga pillars na nabent, tinignan ko internally wala namang bent sa labas lang talaga.. nasa 50/50 parin po ako na ibenta ung sasakyan lalo pag hindi maganda ang pagkaayos ng shop.

    while parts replacement is a tangible amount,
    car fixers are like artists. their skills are something of an art.
    if we get uncomfortable whenever someone makes tawad to the bone our fees,
    the same with lateros and pintors.

    there is this cartoon strip (which i paraphrase)...
    the costumer was rattling out to the manager, the counter prices of the various parts and consumables, and comparing them to the cost of repair he felt he was being overcharged with.
    the manager's retort: "my apologies. i did not know m'sieu was refering to the do-it-yourself price."


    we can make bantay all we want.
    but if we have no idea of what it's all about...
    heh heh.

    medyo no choice ako sa shop, kasi ung time na un ung mga ibang shop hindi nila maaccomodate.
    and ung shop na pinagpagawaan ko sila pa ung pumunta dun sa area, nag estimate at nag dala sa shop nila.
    ang gusto ko lang sana is mabalik sya sa datii. un lang, di naman sguro na apektuhan ung shocks sa likod or what kasi hindi naman dumapa ung sasakyan nung nahulugan.

    its a 12 year old car... those shocks were gone even before malaglagan sya ng pine tree

    I think 45K is reasonable... mahirap talaga gawin yan

    last year lang po ako nag palit ng mga shocks. harap at likod. kaya 50/50 po ako kung ibbenta ko ung car since well maintained po ung car ung mga gulong last year lang din...
    tho ung 45k mahal para sa iba, para saakin rin reasonable na rin un. since sila pa pumunta sa area and kumuha nung kotse.

    IMO, as I mentioned. reasonable ang 45k. I think hindi bababa ng 30K ang proper paint job.

    granting na hindi sila gagamit ng mamahaling paint, medyo matrabaho ayusin ang bubong, especially since mahirap alignment nyan.
