I read a thread sa other site na pangit daw ang havoline nagcause daw nang leak sa gasket.
I notice when I use havoline nagkaroon na nga ako nang leak sa gasket nang oil pan ko pero very minimal lang naman.
I hope u help me.
Ano bang magandang gamitin sa Civic LXi '96 mileage ko kasi nasa 85t na.

i think hindi dahil sa havoline ang reason kung bakit nag-leleak yung gasket. it is because medyo hi-mileage na yung oto mo.
just use mineral-based oils, imho.

i had the same problem with my civic previously. but the leak was caused by a faulty gasket. i believe the havoline is a thinner oil, thus it leaks through the a faulty gasket more easily compared to a 'thicker' oil.

There was this thread somewhere (or maybe it was another site) that confirms what happy_gilmore and nitrox say.
Mineral based = not synthetic.
Havoline Energy I think is semi?-synthetic.
If you're driving like most people (meaning you're not using it for races) stick with mineral-based if you have an older engine and just follow the replacement sched.

Im using Havoline formula lang. Mineral base ba to.
Ano yung mas thicker yung oil na magandang gamitin?
How much kaya papalit nang gasket sa oil pan?
Thanks.

Hmmm...as it turns out, Havoline Formula is mineral based.
See: http://www.havoline.com/products/aa/faq.html#formula
But it's probably thinner than others hence it leaks through a faulty gasket. Not sure though how much a replacement will cost...

clavel, wildthing is probably right. havo formula is mineral based. so there must be something wrong with your gaskets.
have you tried other oil (mineral based) brands like shell (yung dilaw), etc....?

Havoline Formula (20W-50) is different from Havoline Energy (5W-30)
happy_gimore is right...medyo high-mileage na kotse ni CLAVEL3699 kaya medyo maluwag na engine components niyan...use thicker oil like Havoline Formula(with higher viscosity) para di mag leak...
always check the manual kung ano recommended na viscosity ng engine oil para sa kotse nyo to avoid unnecessary hassles and expenses ;)
What happened to this place kaya? I remember they launched with a bang. Celebs pa and all that.
