    IMO...it's purely for looks. i have tried asking several people who did put one and they didn't feel any change, but it does add to the "porma"..hehe.

    try to search using "breather" as your keyword...i think most of the others here would share the same sentiments about it.

    It's partly for porma, partly, it keeps your engine from rebreathing oil-laden "dirty" air into your intake, so it keeps the throttle cleaner... technically.

    No harm in installing one, but not that much benefit, though. Better to have an oil catch can in the re-breather line. There's a DIY on this on the net somewhere... too lazy to dig it up right now... sorry.
