na quick read ko lang post. typical sira lang tong mga to ng ~10year old (almost) daily driven car.

Si Cruven lang talaga makakatulong sayo. Had 2 cars serviced by them (corolla and civic both '95s)...galing talaga at friendly ang service...punta na!

*hindi po ako dun work.. satisfied customer lang.

May iba ka bang mga kaibigan or kakilalang may pinagpapagawan ng kotse nila regualrly? Try to get a referral, find people who will vouch for a shop who might less likely to rip you off... mahirap magka peace of mind kapag basta ka na lang magpapagawa sa isang shop na wala kang idea kung anong klase ng reputation meron yung mga yon...

Ask na rin ako. Dinala ko auto ko sa Servitek for alignment. Sabi nila sira daw suspension arm bushing. Assembly daw and will cost 24K. Dinala ko sa Cruven for 2nd opinion. They said its ok but the tie rod and rack ends need repair by injection, about 3700.

My dilema is Servitek never mentioned anything wrong with the tie rods and rack ends. Also I don't feel or hear anything wrong with the car.

So I don't know if there is really something wrong with the suspension or not. Should I get a 3rd opinon or don't worry about it as I don't hear anything wrong? last if there are indeed problems with the tie rods and rack ends, what will happen if I don't replace them?

When in doubt, check it yourself.

    Try doing a road test.

Minsan naman kasi cosmetic lang yung damage or within tolerance of wear and tear.

How do you tell if its within tolerance? I saw that there is a little play but I have no idea if its within accepatble range or not.

After a visual, I usually do a test drive. Kung hindi naman nag-iba ang drive characteristics and walang strange noises, ok na yun sa akin. Kung medyo duda pa din, hiram ng similar vehicle na alam kong nasa kundisyon. For most suspension parts, the worst that can happen when they fail is make noises or become obviously felt while driving. Hindi naman basta mapupunit iyan sa sasakyan.
