Another White Smoke Problem..

Question regarding sa white smoke..

What if your car isn't overheating and no signs of blown head gasket (ie. Ung water sa rad nde bumubulwak if inistart ung makina, no oil in rad, no water in the engine.)

Nangyari kasi to when I was driving sa Coastal.. nung una walang white smoke nung tumatakbo ung car. I was driving mga 30 mins na from Makati then suddenly sobrang white smoke ung lumalabas..

As in parang trike ung car ko sa sobrang white smoke..

Ika nga eh - "EAT MY DUST!!!"

What do u think is ung problem?

Most likely head gasket and problema mo specially kung mitsubishi engine yan. Check your spark plugs, you'll see white residue baka sa dalawang cylinders adjacent to each other. If both cylinders then palyado rin yang kotse.

Head gasket or cylinder head problem symptoms:
1- Water boiling sa radiator
2- White smoke sa exhaust
3- Nau-ubusan ng coolant also will lead to overheat syempre
4- palyado

Kung glycol and gamit mong coolant, maa-amoy mo eto sa exhaust, sweet smell.

If the above symptoms exist, your only choice is to remove cyl head and replace gasket hoping no damage sa cyl head. Pero kung warp or meron gouge ang head then you need to get the head milled.

Salamat sa reply... btw.. Nissan Sentra Series 3 '95 un ride ko..

1. Boiling water sa rad?!? Bka sa water reserve ung ibig mong sabhin... NO, is the answer.. nde sia boiling.. nde din sia nagbabawas pati ung rad..

2. White smoke is positive. Start-up nandun sia.. Nwawala din nman sia ung nga lang pag-medyo matagal ung ride/biyahe mo minsan lumalabas sia minsan nde.. (Minsan means - some days not everyday.)

3. Distilled pa lang ung nilalagay ko for the moment. Magcchange na din ako to coolant.. suggestion ni Otep... Nde sia nagbabawas ung water... ganun pa din..

4. Palyado... Nde din smooth nman ung ride... medyo matagtag lang kasi lowered...

Hello Im newbie here... got the some problem like jigga... nugn uan ganayn problem ko singaw sa cyl. head.. pero naayus nman ung problem kona ung .napalitan an ung gasket... no more bulwak ng coolant sa radiator..but one problem left still i get the same old problem ive emissioning a lot of white smoke... the only way i did after that working on that cynlinder head gasket is i shify from premium to unleaded.. is that shifting related to the white smoke? and ask na din ako kasi i got a problem... meron maingay dunsa may bandang belt ive check both bolt on alternator..pag tinatanggal ko maingay ap din.. is that ecky noisy sounds had got to do with the tensioner sa timing belt nya? thnks buddies buddies u hope a got a good reply sa forum .more power " Burn Rubber Your Soul"

white smoke,..pero sabi mo hindi blown head gasket ang problem, maaring may leak ang combustion chamber,maaring valve train too tight (holding valve partially open),burned valve or seat,kaya ipacompression test mo na ang cotse mo habang maaga pa,if ito ang probs,ipa valve grind mo na kaagad or ipaadjust mo na ang valva train...

tungkol dun sa ecky noise ng tsikot mo,,sabi mo ginawa mo na lahat eh wala ka pa ring makitang problema,ang problema ng tsikot mo ay yung intake manifold gasket nya palitan mo kasi yan ang cause ng ingay,,ang gawin mo paandarin mo yung car mo at sa may bandang intake manifold buhusan mo ng tubig at mawawala yun or sprayan mo ng fuel injector cleaner,,at kung mag stall ang engine eh yun na,,intake manifold gasket lang..

Jigga,

Compression test will tell you cylinder pressure ng motor. The test can pinpoint low cyl pressure.

White smoke is water in superheated state (steam) and the only place it can turn to steam is in the cylinder(s). Only source ng water sa cyl is from the cyl head.

I still feel your problem is your head gasket. The only reason why you don't have most of the symptoms kasi early stage palang ang gasket leak. Small leak palang kaya hindi pa nababawasan ang rad water level. Though prolonging this may cause more problem warp head at baka itirik ka.

Base ko lang sa experience.

I'm sorry nde pa din ako nakakapag-compression test..

Eto pa pla..

When in traffic, ung temp gauge ko umaakyat.. from semi-half to 3/4... ni-rerev ko sia pero nde bumababa ung temp... bumababa lang sia kung tumatakbo na.. pero dahan dahan lang ung baba nia..

Ni-rekta ko na nga ung aux fans para 2 ung naka-on.. pero ganun pa din.. umaangat pa din ung temp...

I need to replace my thermoswtich like Otep said.. kasi nde nga sia nag-o-on kahit mataas na ung temp.. kaya ni-rekta ko..

I'll also buy nga din pla ung thermostat like he said... feeling ko din talga mas maganda ung meron nun..
