I was driving yesterday when suddenly I drove in a street of no turning back w/ almost knee high FLOOD!

I know I can get over the nasty flood but I felt some weird action with my ESi as I pass by.

Every 20KM the dragging exist simultenously.Even if I change gear the dragging stops for a second and then it comes back.Litterally I have no idea about this problem, so.. I jump out in a small talyer near mindanao avenue and look for a mechanic..

The mechanic told me that maybe the clutch was dripped in the water flood and still wet inside.

The only solution is to change lining and clutch disc w/c will cost me 12T inclusive with their labor..

If this is true,is there any alternate solution that I can do to make it back to normal?

Are you still experiencing the dragging issue? Baka hindi nama clutch yan. Did the problem started only after driving through the flood? Baka naman sa brakes lang yan. Better get a second opinion from another mechanic.

I agree, ask from several shops and their mechanics.

Also whatever you do, DON'T GO TO Rapide!

kung oblong yung gulong mo malamang they were that way even before you went through the flood. i don't see what the connection is.

IF the clutch was just wet, it will dry out in a day or two.

That's why its a mortal sin for off-roaders to step on the clutch midstream.

Yes it is oblong since i bought it last MAY and I knew it the 1st week since I bought it/.I dont know the connections..I know that its just a simple rocking feeling while driving. And for me I still can tolerate that kind of behavior.

Now I have 4 brand new tires and so far the dragging is gone..Its good for me that I dont need to waste another thousands for the clutch and FTW for my friend mechanic who can easyly relate on something like this.

The clutch has probably dried up already since a day or two has passed.

And maybe the tires were really oblong to begin with.

Still, medyo weird na lahat ng gulong (4) ay na-oblong. Anyway, case closed na naman. Pero, walang-hiya naman nung seller, andaming sakit nung sasakyan, dapat inabisuhan yung buyer para ma-discount sa selling price

well considering it's an ESi, it's a 1995 model at the latest. So it's 12 years old. At that age... expect tons and tons of problems.

Ganito lang yan.. a car that old is bound to have tons of problems. To fix all of them would cost lots and lots of money. So many owners would rather sell it and get rid of it, rather than cough up maybe 50K pesos to fix the problems.

It's the duty of the buyer to expect to pay a lot for repairs and tumawad ng husto.

another big problem!
