The pulleys are a bit larger in diameter than the OEM and made of aluminum 6061-T6 and treated with anodize coating and therefore lighter. if hens has a supercharger ("kompressor") engine he will get far more than the 5 hp you get from an n/a engine (i.e. your bimmer). it is actually the s/c pulley (which controls boost pressure) that's being changed and not the crankshaft pulley (which uses engine power to run accessories - the "underdrive" pulley takes less power from the engine at the expense of a little less power for the accessories)

it's a great source of 30+ extra hp and as long as the pressure increase is not too large, it should have no serious effects on engine reliability/longevity.

kleeman's prices are ridiculous though for what is essentially a pulley, ecu upgrade and filter (tama ba?)
