Gentlemen, an odd thing happened. I went to the mall and left my car for a few hours. When I returned and started my car, the passenger side airbag light came on and won't turn off. No one really sits on the passenger side so I am wondering what could have caused it and how to turn it off as it is quite annoying seeing the airbag light. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Good day.

what car?... never heard of airbag reprogramming (a recalibration maybe). but first you need to know what causes the airbag light to illuminate.

if this is a suzuki sx4 or other suzuki car, there had been a recall about the occupant sensor (activated by passenger weight), and seatbelt buckle switch that triggers the warning light to be on

have the onboard computer scanned for error code (OBD 1 or OBD 2), and from there you can start... your friendly gas station should have this service for a min fee

Same. Happened to my Vios after a high speed run. Dunno if the SCTex wind tickled my airbag sensor. I just killed the light anyway.

My neighbourhood service station does not provide this service. Can you recommend one that does in the South area? Thank you.
