may it be engine oil or additional atf oil cooler..what are possible effects/improvements na makikita sa engine/a/t performance?
anu mas effective, yung dinadaanan ng tubig or yung nakamount sa harap, at airflow lang magpapalaming or better kung both?
madali lang ba lagyan ang makinang walang oil-cooler?

since no expert replied yet, allow me to share my research on this A.Y.
after the intercooler project, I was thinking of adding an oil cooler too.

for the oil cooler, longer oil life and cooler engine they say...
for the aces, they say the original oil filter has an oil cooler too. some has adaptor on the oil filler and also some with seperate plate stack bolted to the block that acts like a cooler too.
madali lang ba lagyan ang makinang walang oil-cooler?
for instance, the aces, it could consume 4 meters of hose if you want it mount up front.

July 20th, 2007 04:40 AM #3kung hindi naman abused ang tranny (like the vehicle is used regularly for towing or carrying heavy loads or running on fast speeds often) hindi naman kailangan ng oil cooler yun.

pressure nga, baka di mag-circulate ng maganda...sa a/t pinagiisipan ko pa kasi in the future palit to m/t na ako.. engine at intercooler nalang matitirang prob..
kung may way na malagyan ng oil cooler ang walang oil-cooler na engine, share naman...(baka kasi iba ang pagka-design ng nasa 4d56 ng L200/pajero...

I was thinking of using our Pajero's atf cooler nga eh... since we no longer need it after the a/t to m/t convertion. kaya lang baka magkakaproblema sa pressure.
*wildthing: tama po. I don't think it's necessary unless you have overheating problems...
peru nakaka-enjoy lang kasi mag DIY sa bakuran mo...

July 23rd, 2007 10:48 PM #8you won't loose pressure as long as you keep the max level of the fluid correct.

Yup... just add additional fluid to counter the amount of extra tubing you'll need to put in.
You don't really need an oil cooler or ATF cooler unless your engine experiences periods of high-stress usage (racing, heavy loads uphill for long periods of time).
The big issue is how well you do it, and how secure the cooler itself is. Poor fitment and construction could lead to oil leaks, which could lead to fires or overheating.
I've been thinking about doing this for the car, but I don't really need it... yet...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

salamat may experts advice narin.
this looks like an encouragement. the oil pressure for alwayz_yummy's ride is 86 psi max pala.
or how about hooking it after the turbo oil cooler lines? para mas safe. kasi seperate oil lines naman ang turbo...
tama po sir niky. nakaka enjoy lang kasi kapag DIY if riskfree of course. at mas bagay pa nga ito sa ride mo eh.Last edited by rion; July 24th, 2007 at 04:05 PM.
