after the intercooler project, I was thinking of adding an oil cooler too.

the atf cooler will just prolong the atf life.

if you saw this article in autorepair.about.com saying that atf cooler attached to the main engine radiator is questionable. like our aces...

for the oil cooler, longer oil life and cooler engine they say...

for the aces, they say the original oil filter has an oil cooler too. some has adaptor on the oil filler and also some with seperate plate stack bolted to the block that acts like a cooler too.

the biggest question is the pressure... we need a expert's advice on this.

for instance, the aces, it could consume 4 meters of hose if you want it mount up front.

kung hindi naman abused ang tranny (like the vehicle is used regularly for towing or carrying heavy loads or running on fast speeds often) hindi naman kailangan ng oil cooler yun.

pressure nga, baka di mag-circulate ng maganda...sa a/t pinagiisipan ko pa kasi in the future palit to m/t na ako.. engine at intercooler nalang matitirang prob..

kung may way na malagyan ng oil cooler ang walang oil-cooler na engine, share naman...(baka kasi iba ang pagka-design ng nasa 4d56 ng L200/pajero...

I was thinking of using our Pajero's atf cooler nga eh... since we no longer need it after the a/t to m/t convertion. kaya lang baka magkakaproblema sa pressure.

*wildthing: tama po. I don't think it's necessary unless you have overheating problems...
