find an old Daihatsu FWD 3 cyclinder 800cc or a under 400CC motorcycle engine, a basic box frame chassis, standard rack and pinion. two seats.Looks like you could use big bike shocks too to save on weight and cost.
Perfect for a city roundabout.
The challenge really is the cost. From my experience the drivetrain is the most expensive part of this type of build.
I guess the ride height is to make it more universal in terms of road conditins bec for the same effort you could just build a nice simple no frills 2 seat roadster type of car.
