Kumusta po from Tipidtalk.com, last 9/26/2009 the greater Manila area in the Philippines was hit by a major tropical storm "Ondoy" (Internationally called "Ketsana"). This storm has devastated the Greater Manila area and some other parts of Luzon with floods of up to 1-3 stories high.

A lot of lives were lost, hundreds of thousands have lost their homes and their belongings and are now living in evacuation shelters. There are cries and pleas all over the internet for food, water, clothing for people in evacuation shelters.

And now, there is news that another 2 storms are developing in the Pacific Ocean, and 1 can hit the areas affected again this weekend.

This letter is not just a call to the bayanihan spirit of our kababayans here in the USA to help in whatever way we can to our countrymen, but most importantly this letter is a call to prayer for each and everyone of us to form prayer groups and vigils in our communities for every one suffering in the Philippines due to the storm as well as for God's intervention for the coming weekend's storm projection.

Aside from our call for prayers, we have also partnered up with Island Pacific Supermarkets and Kapuso (GMA7) Foundation so we can accept donations of food, clothing, medicine, cash, etc. If you have anything that you can donate and you live in California, you can drop off your donations to the following Island Pacific Supermarket branches:
