Our market is too small and insignificant.

Of the more that 100,000 new vehicles sold in the Philippines last year about 60% are LCV, AUV and trucks...

40% passenger cars ( fleet cars i.e. taxis, company cars, private use) dominated by Toyota and Honda....

As what Elizabeth Lee of UMC-Nissan mentioned, the government should support the local auto industry so that car manufacturers will be enticed to come here not just to sell cars (old models abroad but "new in the Philippines") but to assemble and produce parts...

haha so just because we're some third world country who cant afford 350Zs shouldnt mean they shouldnt release new models

Sa thailand ang malaysia magaganda nissans nila. Kung maglalabas naman sila ng micra may magpapalayas na sa current leader sa hatchies which is the honda jazz

Nissan has gone all wrong. The x-trail looks Jurassic. the sentra... welll errr... crap. It's like nissan is gone in the industry silently. hopefully the teana is their start point even though teana has been in japan since 2004.

the cars that they should bring are fuel efficient sedans and hatchbacks. like the nissan march... nissan versa or tiida. and their small suv Rogue.

imho. they are really selling the sentras dirt cheap. imagine the 1.3 GX AT which sells at 630k?

mas mura pa kesa sa City ah.. yun nga lang ang napansin ko, medyo hilaw. ni walang power side mirrors.

Current nissan cars are either dated or pricey, suv's and vans/pickups are value for money.

prob ng nissan 2 ang dealers dito: nissan ph and UMC!

and blame nissan YULON for our nissan here..

abroad and in japan, nissan is way better than honda and toyota...

madaming engines transmissions and models na di dumating dito: YD22, QR20de, hyper cvt transmissions, etc..

    by comparison wise lang:

on 1600 scene, SR16veN1 is way powerful than b16 and 4age... rivals the MIVEC.

nga pala, basta nahawakan ng taiwan di ok ang line up pala.. see mitsubishi....

How about UMC? Pinoy ba ito....why can't Nissan-Yulon do the same...or is it just management tactic to compete only in utility vehicles and trucks here in the Philippines?

bored na ako sa design ng nissan ngayon lalo na ang sentra! kapag may bagong models ang sentra cguro malakas ang benta nila.
baka kulang funds ng nissan kaya hindi sila nagchachange ng model

with all fairness to nissan ph (YULON), kahit papaano yung line up nila eh almost the same sa mga neighbor countries natin like malaysia, thailand, singapore, with the exception of a few models like the tiida/latio, march, sylphy. nagulat pa nga ako na nagbebenta pa rin ang nissan malaysia ng vanette at old cefiro.

sadly, yung ilang models sa line up ng nissan ph couldn't attract much buyers as compared with the newer models ng ibang brands.

    maybe if nissan ph:

    a) replaced the cefiro with the sportier altima rather than the teana to deal with the camry and accord.
    b) will replace the xtrail with a more competitive suv like the qashqai to pit with the rav4, crv, outlander, etc.
    c) brought a new suv model to fill the gap between the xtrail and the patrol, something that would match or surpass the fortuner.
    d) updated that old sentra with the newer one found in north america, the c platform b16 sentra/versa.
    e) released better and more frequent tv ads, sometimes i forget that nissan still exist in the country. their last ad that i remember was the nissan sentra, way back 2006.
    f) sold its cars at lower prices yet more fitted than its rivals, like what they are doing in other markets. not just some accessories, but something better say the xtronic cvt instead of the default 4A/T. hehe.

cguro nde ganito ang kalagayan nila ngayon, nakikipag-agawan sa tira tirang market share....

kung di sila magiimprove, they're only worsening nissan's reputation here.
di nila dapat excuse ang maliit na market natin or wala sila pondo, mas mababaon sila kung ipagpapatuloy nila ito. sayang ang opportunity, now that some of the well established car companies are resting on their laurels...

OT: buti pa ang Mitsubishi Lancer and Outlander, back in fighting form.
