Two weeks ago may binebentang sr16ve for 80K sa initial d sa evangelista.
Try mo nalang baka nandun pa.
go sr20det ka nalang..mahirap parts ng sr16ve..pero...mas pogi kung sr16 ang makikita sa hood
Astig talaga itsura nung nakita ko sa personal.
NISSAN TWIN CAM and NEO-VVL letter badges on the blue cover = ***y![]()
okay lang po.. wala po ako plans to race it.. gusto ko lang po mag posses ng ganitong engine. =)
If you're not going to race, or to even drive fast, the SR16 will be a waste. For much less money, you could get an SR20DE, which will feel peppier in everyday driving and traffic. Or... for the same money... you can get an SR20VE, which has similar top end power to the SR16 and still has more torque than the puny 1.6 under the hood right now.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
much better kung makapagbasa basa ka na din muna ng info's about SR Engines...hindi kasi yan bolt on sa B14 since GA engine kasi...
pero i know lotsa people who already have this engine....kung sa availability, AFAIK mas madaming sources ng SR20VE compare sa SR16VE
The SR20DE engine is not that puny. It is a good strong reliable engine and there are many proven power adding mods already available for it.
The Nissan SR16VE lacks torque... just like the Honda B16 series engine.
If you really want exclusivity, swap in a Cefiro V6. :hysterical:
Honestly, if you don't love driving fast and aren't mechanically inclined, GH is right... exclusivity is another word for headache.
Take it from guys like us who've owned swapped cars, and who have friends who have had rare engines. I have friends with V6 Lancers, V6 Lynxes, SR20DETs, and etcetera... and the rarer the engine, the more work it takes to make it work, and the more money and time you need to keep the car on the road. My buddy with the V6 Lancer? He has two spare engines, in case anything breaks. Because you can't just simply buy parts for that 2.0 V6 at the corner store. And he needs those... last I saw the car, his engine was lifting the heads at high rpms.
And it's really questionable to have an ultra-exclusive engine, and to do a difficult swap and have a car that's not quite as quick as a more "common" Sentra with an SR20VE or SR20DET.

Exclusivity... hmmm... I've always wanted a 2.0 diesel in my Lynx...![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
nakadrive nako ng sr16ve unsatisfied although ang angas lang pag nag VVL siya pero sobrang bitin... cguro consumption and powerwise sr20ve or sr20det nalang ako
Like I said... a tuned SR20DE would be better than the SR16. Cheaper, more spare parts available, lots of aftermarket stuff as well.
One major advantage of the DE vs DET is the smoother power delivery through the power band. This makes it a more enjoyable driver's car for real world conditions as against something that is only more application for straight line acceleration runs.
sino po ang nakapag try na mag swap ng sr16ve sa b14 po na nissan? any advice kung ano po ang dapat gawin at kung san po kayo nag pa-gawa? salamat po..
