Like I said... a tuned SR20DE would be better than the SR16. Cheaper, more spare parts available, lots of aftermarket stuff as well.

One major advantage of the DE vs DET is the smoother power delivery through the power band. This makes it a more enjoyable driver's car for real world conditions as against something that is only more application for straight line acceleration runs.

are you going to use the car as your daily commuter?
If Yes, better yet find another engine... but if you just want to acquire an sr16ve for the sake of preserving it... then go ahead.
