July 28th, 2009 04:24 PM #1hi tsikoteers..
i just changed my radiator and thermostat, and now have my system checked for leaks. unfortunately, there are some. one is the bypass hose and the other one is the heater hose. the problem is i cannot find a replacement for the heater hose. its a funny looking crooked hose. anyone know a store that has one? at least sana malapit sa mandaluyong or quezon city. also, is ok if we have it replaced by a regular radiator hose?
thanks.

You can go to Nissan Makati for that, AFAIK. The ones along Pasong Tamo.
I went to Universal Motors (Anthony P. Lee Center) and their genuine parts are cheaper than in all other Nissan dealers and even cheaper than Banawe.
Plus they stock all the hard to find bits.
Not sure about your Sentra though as it is manufactured by NMPI (not by UMC) but you could ask the dealer where the parts warehouse is.
For a heater hose, anything shaped like it will do. It basically flows coolant so any radiator hose (or stronger) will work in that application.

Along Commonwealth Ave, (QC), may store dun halos katabi ng Capitol Auto Supply (tapat ng St. Peter's Parish). They sell all sorts of automotive and industrial hoses. Sila na rin magkakabit. Sorry, can't remember the name, pero it's quite easy to find.
Don't laugh now, pero Goodyear yata yung brand. Bought my replacement power steering return hose before for my old Sentra in 2005, no leaks pa din till now, sabi ng barkada ko (new owner).

What others do as well is to just find a hose to bypass the heater hose since its not really utilized over here.

Choice I would have made as well.
