A local version of the XTerra or Pathfinder with a powerful diesel engine would have been nice. However, that's one good-looking truck!

    Here we go....

Will it have the worst steering in the segment like its pickup cousin? Its the main issue so far....

Steering hopefully is from the good mitsubishi pajero sport?

Class leading suspension like that of the patrol?

    8speed asin?

    Thats the old pathfinder.

I think theyre only using parts from their old parts bin. Its not yet production ready. Test mules evolve. Hopefully the rear looks better.

Remember the ford everest test mule? They used the explorer rear? That was funny.

    2018. Wow.

I hope they follow the other Japanese makes in making the differentiation in design larger between pickup and suv. And, yes, please fix the steering!

Based on rodoc's pictures above the Navarra based SUV looks good. A mixture of modern and traditional (boxy) design. However as per StockEngine's spy shots, i do hope that rear is temporary and not the real thing.

Definitely not top 1, the Fortuner is untouchable, but around 800-1,000 units per month is doable. Look how Isuzu did. Alterra was a perennial laggard in sales bun with the Mu-X, they're top 3 in the segment. Same story with the Everest.

Regarding the mechanicals, 7A/T and the 2.5L high is good enough. Water wading of the Navara is only 500-600mm tops, a change in intake design and rubber mouldings will increase this.

Nissan still has some Brand value left to mount a redemption campaign, let's hope they don't mess it up.

If its priced right and feature packed they might do over 400 monthly. I dont think they can supply 500+ monthly.

Mux and everest had supply issues the first years because of thai&australian market demands

Hope the issues will be taken seriously when this will be released. They have all the new generation PPV's in their backyard to study about it

I hope they load this with more safety features. Nevermind those touch screen headunit or leather seats, but hope they don't strip this off with airbags, ESC, disk breaks and all.
