exactly sir...
I just hope the Juke has enough power, because i was a bit disappointed when i test drove the Ecosport. Sa U.S. i think the Juke shells out around 200+ hp? Kaya lang here i believe they changed the engine (as usual pinas gets downgraded versions)..
I had the opportunity to test drive the Juke earlier today sa Nissan Commonwealth. Here are things i observed:
Exterior: Its an acquired taste talaga. For me it doesn't look good at first sight but when I looked at it longer (since I was waiting for my car for servicing) it has its sides of artistic design. Especially if you think of the customizations you can make like the color accents. Hehe.
Interior: It has a great view from the driver's side all around. Great visibility actually which surprised me when I was driving it. The front seats were comfortable as well, hindi masakit sa likod. The steering controls were a surprise as well, Bluetooth and cruise control. The center console was quite ironic for me compared to the exterior. The exterior is artistic tapos sa loob looks very plain and straight forward. Convenient yung controls but the design of it is quite bland. However, ganon yung design ng console because they packed many features for such small space which is understandable. Medyo maliit yung LCD screen but its adequate when backing up and parking since its not as wide as an SUV.
Back seats were OK but consider that I'm just 5'5 so spacious siya for my standards. Hehe. Also getting in and out of the back seats isn't quite as easy compared to a normal car.
The cargo space at the back is really small. Our two week grocery purchases might not fit in there by my estimate. However, you can have bring down the back seats for more space.
Performance and Handling: It is hard to really give feedback since nasa Commonwealth Avenue lang kami (60 kph speed limit) but it really feels quick and agile. Very responsive engine. Take note though that it is on Normal driving mode (wasn't able to try Eco and Sport mode).
For me, this car is a refreshing add to the Philippine automotive landscape. I felt secured when driving this vehicle, it felt sturdy yet compact without compromise to the ride quality. We are planning to buy an HRV or the i20 cross actually but this made me think especially that its just 1M (980K) and we just need an automatic vehicle (to replace our Vios) in Metro Manila and occasional trips to Bulacan.
Oh well, I still have time to deicde since the release of the units would be estimated end of January to February 2016. Just sharing my thoughts to everyone. Always fun reading tsikot comments and discussions
looking for a Nissan Sales Agent!!! i had to pull out my reservations from the dealer i reserved my Juke. because after sending a formal quotation, they called and said they made an error. they want to recall a freebie they gave me.
baka may kilala kayong Agent from Nissan who you can refer.
thanks.
Finally closed a deal with NISSAN Quezon Ave. You really have to get a quote from at least 3 to 4 dealerships because everyone has their own sets of freebies. From the 5 quotations I got, this dealership was offering the best.
Got a number if freebies like full tank, car cover, rain visor, etc.
Waiting for January....
By the way, its the Solar Yellow for me. Red has already a long list of reserved clients.

Finally Test drive done, a few laps in Alabang Cyber zone.
Pros,
a. love the CVT, as expected the Nissan Lineartronic CVT is one of the best CVT's in the Market.
b. Lights galore, Optitron Gauges plus lots of cabin lights will make your night driving alive.
c. I love the secret compartment under the trunk floor. Great for laptop bags and electronics you wouldnt leave in plain sight.
d. Of course the funky vibe which makes people take a 2nd and 3rd look....imagine this in yellow right?
e. I love the way the rear suspension firms up during cornering.
f. of course, the Legendary Nissan Aircon system
g. Seats are comfortable...nice "bolsters"
h. Toys... cruise control, steering wheel radio remote, reverse camera, 2 din audio interface, techie I control system and 17 inchers round out the extras.
Cons.
a. Glove box is small.... expected with the size of this crossover... but still...
b. Arm rest, shame its an accessory not a standard.
c. AV unit has no GPS... what a waste to the 2 din OEM HU... makes upgrading a bit of an excuse :-)
FC should be the same as the Sylphy which is respectable....
So is it worth 980k?
Its direct competitor is the FORD Ecosport.... so the question is, is it better than the Ford Ecosport?
Hell yeah, CVT transmission is light years ahead of the sealed, quirky and unpredictable Ford DSG tranny.
Fit and finish is great, as expected from a Japanese CBU.
It exudes sportiness and freshness despite the mid cycle life span. The vehicle is well proportioned.
HR-V you say? nah.... its a great ride but at 1.2-1.4 M.... no way, thats SUV money right there.
I like this little silent sleeping giant thread. Everybody else is talking about the upcoming ladders. pero I know from the heart, that this juke is the new game changer for the Philippines
It's like they're battling it out there with old and heavy and bulky technology , pero the future belongs to the compact light maneuverers like this
Bruh, every one is raving about the Pick up based SUV's, but its become a pissing contest and a lot of "mirons" who, lets face it, dont even plan on buying or dont even own SUV's...
Dont get me wrong I love my SUV, but using it everyday just isnt practical or fun, thats why owning these small giants are more fun.... frugal at the pump, fun to drive, needs little parking space, weaves thru traffic, easy and cheap to maintain and cost's less than SUV's.
SUVs are great for family events and floods but these cross overs deserve the same attention.
Parang laptop vs desktop diba? Ambigat bigat ng dala Nila tapos high maintenance, tapos naka small SUV sobrang Sarap ikot sa traffic
How many of us forego a lakad kasi nga it's a such a hassle to drive and park a big ladder SUV
Counting the days......
But according to my agent, units are now expected to arrive in Feb.
Is it true Petixs?

Hi guys, pardon my ignorance. But i thought the Juke started at 950. Its 980 now?
Hi guys, just like to ask if about the juke.
It uses the same 1.6 mr16 engine in the sylphy that we have in our market now right?
But since it was an older model before the sylphy, does it uses the current gen cvt as with the sylphy or does it still uses the previous cvt generation that was suffering from issues like the previous hondas?
Thanks guys.
Saw it in the flesh, love the rear, the front has its angles.
Interior is nice but i do think the hrv is a bit more spacious, but that comes with the additional 200k so the value proposition of the juke is up there when you pit it side by side.
I dont really like the steering wheel but it is functional.
Didnt get a chance to test drive it but i believe performance is like the sylphy so dont really need much convincing in that regard.
Sound isolation and suspension is what id like to ask those who have test driven and maybe will get their units in january.
Thanks
