I guess these two are a must for me to do as I backread this thread. I'm thankful for knowing more about our unit from a number of contributors here. I hope we don't get tired sharing our successes and failures about out unit, more power peeps!!!

Btw, I bought my 2010 unit from one of my neighbors few months ago.

    Muli, salamat!

I wouldn't use a K&N or similar filter on my car in dusty and/or smoggy conditions (like in MM). I'd just change the OEM or aftermarket paper filter more often, maybe every 10TKms? Also the primary and secondary filters every 10Tkm. Aside from that you might want to consider getting a solid intake pipe if you have a lead foot. The intake hose only collapses when the filter is saturated with dirt and you press on the gas pedal too abruptly. Other factors may be the catalytic converter is clogged with soot, EGR valve stuck in open position or the MAF sensor is dirty. You could also try resetting the ECU by taking the - terminal off the battery for a couple minutes and reconnecting it. If you've done all the above, try doing an Italian tuneup.

Just had the Soft Lid bed cover from Carry Boy installed on my truck today. Pansin ko going home from Banawe na maingay yung cover kasi nagvivibrate yung canvas kapag may lubak. Anyone else here had a similar experience? And how did you remedy it if ever? Thanks

Afaik sir yung rods/rod mounts ang maingay pag maluwag. Just tighten the bolts and it should go away. Re: OEM roof rack contact Lestat of NCP.

Average lang ba to?

    TIA!

i have a 4x4 at navara. average fuel consumption is 7-8km/l city driving. max na naabot ko so far is 9km/l when i went to quezon. medyo malakas nga compared sa manual. naka 6k na ako sa odometer. sana mag improve pa ng onti. pero if not, oh well the price for comfort

Thanks for the reply Remzam. I guess normal nga lang yung 8 km/l.

Parang wala nga repair kit, assembly mo makukuha.

    Thanks for the help sir.

And advice sakin yung rubber cup daw need palitan kasi wornout. Since wala stock ng repair kit ang casa, in fairness naghanap sila sa mga auto supply kaso ang nakuha na replacement (non oem) ay hindi fit. I tried also asking some auto supply shops if maka order sila, hantay ko n lang feedback/quotation nila sa assembly.

Napansin ko din na binilugan nyo yung caution na "master assembly must not be disassembled". So most likely binuksan ng casa master assembly ko? naku.

I read also your post on page 157 regarding "Nissan Fast Software". Link is dead however may nahanap ako sa net, downloaded and installed, unzipped Rar files A and B, kaso when i run the software sir walang D40 na model, D22 only meron for nav. Do you have another link or nasa ibang rar files yung D40 (E or G?).

I saved and printed the pics you posted, para dalhin ko sa shop at casa.

    Thanks again.

I can mail you the copy if you want, just pm me the details, medyo malaki eh 1.4GB image file.

If you will notice, those parts that doesnt have exploded view means they come as assembly. Kaya ko binilugan to confirm that its an assembly ,consistent yung sa repair manual and Fast

If you wired it that way, video output from playback is disabled whenever handbrake is disengaged. Its not illegal here to watch while driving so permanently connect mo sa ground. Ang illegal dito yung kumakain or using phone handset while driving.

    Mga sir, magtatanong lang sana.

I just experienced an unusual sound in my M/T Navara D40.

When I shift to first gear and press the gas pedal, a 'thug' sound can be heard below. And when I suddenly remove my foot on the gas, you can hear the same sound. Sometimes it loud, sometimes it just like a 'clicking' sound. I experience this on 1st upto 3rd gear.

What do you think seems to be the problem? TIA

Could be a normal gear slack. Check fluids in the drivetrain, excessive noise could be from damaged gears due to low or burnt oil.

Turbo? Crank or camhafts? So many parts in the car using journal bearings.
