April 23rd, 2012 11:16 PM #1Im hoping too that NMPI will still use the sentra badge. Heard na dami pa stock ng sentra 200. Less 200k from its original price na daw ngayon
NMPI and UMC are now getting more agressive. several new nissan vehicles will be out soon. There are talks also about planning to bring in GTR and 370z to compete with the gray market.

April 24th, 2012 06:49 PM #3i actually like this. the car has taken a nice direction in terms of design. more elegant that aggressive, yet not as bland as the new civic. i just hope for the following:
1.) NO FAKE WOOD. please. i kinda like jet black plastic now (more than silver accents)
2.) wheels should at least be 16" (for the base model. 17" for the higher end variants)
3.) drop the beige interior as well (black+grey works best in our market)
4.) drop the 1.3 base model (they should have a proper subcompact model for that. no more n16s! 12 years old na yun!)
5.) Price should be 900k-1.2M for the entire range
6.) do some actual marketing and advertising. really.

There's a new version so better check the specs. You can always strongarm the agent into giving you freebies like rear camera (even if your stock car stereo doesn't support it so you'l just plug it when you upgrade).

BTW, my battery died again.
Last year, around August, my battery went flat dead. At that time, i was able to get home (IIRC). Luckily my dad just bought a new Panasonic 65D26L (2SM) in anticipation for his Bosch S5's expiration. Stock battery GS (low maintenance) was replaced with 1SNF Motolite Gold (which I can't claim warranty directly becaues I don't have the warranty card. Now it went dead while I was in Trinoma, hazard parking near BPI because I asked my wife to buy me some sayote (I love blanched sayote with pesto for dinner). Called my bro for a jumpstart. He came and brought the battery (the one I borrowed before) and I installed it in the car (good thing I have my 10mm wrench with me). Came home and scouted for a 2SM Panasonic. Ended up with 80D26L for 4100 delivered (panasonic araneta). Delivery guy even installed it so I gave him a tip out of amazement of his willingness to help. It's an all-black 4-star Silver alloy battery, made in thailand. Hopefully this one lasts longer. I would have gone for the Panasonic CAOS blue battery (made in Japan) if not for the hefty difference (2SM caos is 6K. LOL). Maybe next time when I'm not that stingy. Also looked at Amaron but their prices are now a bit too high.
