Thanks for the info guys and gals.
I like the sound of the off road karts (if they are truely 'off-road'). I will definitely look into that possibility.

June 24th, 2007 03:31 PM #14why not a VW dune buggy fozzie? volkwagen engine (lots of possible parts) and can (almost) be done/repaired by (almost) any sidestreet mechanic. Body is fiberglass resin...so its easy to repair.

Thank you all for your valuable input.
I'm warming to the idea of a VW dune buggy or off-road cart. I looked at a new Taiwanese 150cc and 250cc ATV in my Puerto Princesa home last week but have to agree that their all round value would be significantly less than either a dune buggy or off-road cart.
BUT....I've been scanning the internet to find suppliers here in Philippines. I do not mind buying a kit of parts and assembling myself, in fact I am more likely to get the desired quality this way, but a ready made new or GOOD used option will be seriously considered.
does anybody have any links to what I am looking for eiter on the mainland or Palawan?
Thank you all in advance.
