Hello fellow tsikoteers!
I'm in the process of rebuilding a motorbike (honda dio) and got some questions for you. Got used to repair 4-bangers...This is my first time to do a bike. A bit slow at the first time.
1. Do i really need to use a flywheel puller or a simple general purpose puller will do?
2. Haven't seen yet the engine internals, does the connecting rod ride on ball bearings or bearing inserts/halves?
3. Does the crankshaft ride on ball bearings or halves too?
4. How do i remove the 2 front wheel bearings? Tried with a socket and looks like I need a sliding hammer.
5. Do i need to buy a pistong ring installer/remover as well as the ring compression tools or does the "bare hands+pliers" would do?
6. How to time the ignition? like position piston at TDC, etc......

ano ba yan chong? project bike ba yan like you have to restore everything from scrap? as in fairings, chassis, electricals, engine, etc.?
anyway if it's for the hobby, then go!
it's just my two pence anway.

restore to running condition only for errands like buying lpg for cooking, carrying at least 1 vehicle tire or heavy parts to the nearby shop (yup i plan to connect a simple sidecar), etc....i did not plan to restore it to become a fancy bike and so so....suspicious paperworks pa naman kaya i intend to use it only within the village. kinuha namin ito sa junkshop for P500 only...engine lang ang problem, nalubog ng konti dati sa Ondoy
