I won't be starting the engine swap anytime before October or November. Maybe I'll actually look for a cheaper motorcycle to do it because my '88 Honda XLX 350-R still runs nicely and there are always some people willing to buy it...

October 30th, 2011 09:37 PM #23There were already some diesel-powered motorsiklos in India before, but were a workaround done by the local branch of Royal Enfield in the 350cc regular gasoline engine that was turned to diesel power. Nowadays some people still adapt the Lombardini diesels that are also used in the Piaggio Ape tricycle or a Kubota 8hp used in the Bajaj tricycles. But if the Hero Group come with an engine more suitable to the motorcycle it can also be interesting...
