Today, I got stuck in traffic for 3 hours for what normally would take me a 20-minute drive without traffic. I have been thinking of getting a motorcycle for quickly getting around the city during the day. I thought the scrambler might be a nice option.

Does anyone have one? What are your thoughts about it?

I'm still on the fence but I just thought it might be fun to ride on weekends too.

Around the city, I would rather ride one of those small scoots than a large bike.

Maporma nga large bikes pero if you're gona be driving it pang city, you'll end up using it like a car most of the time sa laki nya. Hasel maipit sa traffic kapag nakamotor ka, during the day mapapaso ka sa init when you're stopped.

I tried one of those honda beat scooters from a friend, sarap gamitin kasi sobrang nimble. I ended up getting a somewhat larger scoot from kawasaki though kasi i was looking for useful space sa compartment, then nabitin pa and then i added a top box sa likod, one of those givi ones.

sobrang handy ng scoot, i use it for a lot of pambahay and small errands, sometimes kapag alam ko rin heavy ang traffic i would use it kahit naka business attire ako - make sure lang na yung jacket mo is not mesh type, use yung mga leather or close to leather para iwas alikabok sa main attire mo, and also baka maduraan ka ng mga pasehero ng ibang sasakyan - hahaha! i have not experienced this but i've heard stories from other riders.

if you're gona go for scooters, dami choices ngayon mga fuel injected and may ala istop features pa.

but yeah, for weekend rides masarap talaga mga larger bikes, pero marami rin naman weekend rides group mga scoots like vespa and the likes.

Would I buy a Ducati Scrambler? Definitely, yes, as a second or third bike only. But for daily ride? Maybe at first you can. Many have said that they can use their above 400cc daily. Good luck!

I'd reco the Honda XLR200 or CRF250 if you want something really better or Yamaha XTZ125 if you want something cheaper. Why mataas? Para kung puwede iakyat sa sidewalk okay din. Sarap a suspension vs scooters. HD pa. Dami din piyesa.

Baha? Anong baha baha? Lampas bewang kaya nang mga yan.

+100 My kuya sometimes uses his vespa from Alabang to Makati. I can't imagine doing it myself (heat and smog)

Bawal isampa sa gutter/easement ang motorbike dito sa maynila, ticket mas abala. Im liking the new Honda RS150 fi, de-clutch is still better than those auto scoots.

Kaya really depends. Kung city maganda scooter - twist and go, easy to filter, may floor board kaya di madudumihan ang iyong shoes kahit dumaan sa basa/putik etc. - okay pang office. Andyan ang dirt bike (CRF, Serow) kung trailing / long ride. Andyan ang bigbikes (both sports or naked) na pang expressway/long rides. MOtard kung both pag city and pang action. Kung gusto talagang matipid - andyan ang underbones na 100-125cc.
